All From Nothing

A Meditation On Chaos And The Divine

By Khaos – 01-13-2022

I am not a religious man. I am however, a spiritual man. I hold to the belief that I will remain even after I am no longer contained within this body. That aside, let us assume that I were a religious man and meditate upon some things. I’ll keep this mostly in the Christian context since that is the religion that I mostly grew up around.

Where did this all come from? If it came from God then where did God come from? He/She/It was always there? Why couldn’t the universe just always be here? Mathematically, how can something come from nothing? Easily. Nothing is represented by 0. For the sake of this meditation I will associate 0 with God. 0 is also -1 and +1. It is 10+32-12+6-100+64. It is an infinitely variable assortment of something that balances out to nothing. In the beginning, there is nothing, 0, God, lonely, perhaps even a bit bored. And why not? Wouldn’t you eventually become bored when everything is so known, produced by your own thought and desire, no chaotic or unknown interference?

Chaos is undervalued. It is for the sake of a bit of chaos and the unknown that I believe we are sharing this dream together. Sure, it would be nice to have everything you desire the moment you think it, to have the world behave exactly as you intend it. But then, there is nothing left to excite or surprise you. It would only last so long.

From this known space/time of 0, we get an infinite possibility of other arrangements. Everything is actually nothing. So, God, 0, creates the universe and becomes 10+32-12+6-100+64, etc. The equation is ever-changing but never does it actually cancel out back into 0. Therefore, by the very act of creating the universe, God is dead. God can no longer exist fully because that would balance the equation and the virtual everything that we experience because nothing exists once again.

Does this mean that truly finding God would erase the universe? Mathematically, yes. While it is good to strive for a better understanding, to do good deeds, to be content with what we have, to uphold ourselves to high moral standards, if we truly find it all, then we have nothing, 0, once more. In a way, as blasphemous as this will sound to many of you, if God were ever truly realized again then God itself would be the Antichrist. Try not to get too angry about this as I mean you no offense. This is a meditation. We are free to imagine, test, think as we choose to within our minds and souls.

Again I state that I am not a religious man. This meditation is just that, a collection of thoughts and feelings based around an assumption that if there were a true God, it can be loosely explored, examined, explained. So far, we have considered that everything can come from nothing and that chaos is the very thing that brings us together in this collective dream we experience as life.

That which is everything, which is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent, is still lacking something. It is lacking limitation. Limitation is a key factor to being, for it gives us something to strive for, something to do, and a way to define who and what we are. This is tied to the concept that light cannot exist without darkness and that goodness cannot be defined without the existence of evil.

Why the science? Why are physics so predictable? How is it that in this collective dream we cannot fly, create rain with tears, imagine a new moon in the night sky? Because we need to communicate with each other. Physics and mathematics are the languages that we share in order to be here together. If everyone could imagine the world as they see fit and make it happen then we would be right back to where we came from, the 0, the empty, and incurably mundane state that arises when there is full control of your experience and zero chaos. “Surprise me”, I say. A bit of chaos is good, but we need to share a common language in order to interact with living beings that were not created within our own minds. We necessarily limit the boundaries of our infinite creativity within these scientifically measurable horizons.

Blame not the philosopher who may challenge your world-view. Blame not the fool who speaks of things he knows not of. Blame not the scientists that test the limits of this reality. Blame not yourself for your many blind spots and your many zealous pursuits. Blame me not for this meditation if it has either awakened or offended you. If I may have introduced a bit of chaos into your life then I am grateful to have shaken things up a bit within your divine and infinite being. I’ll end this post with a poem I wrote years ago. I hope that it adds something good to your life. Namaste.

The Torus

By Khaos – 05-14-2013

All things

The past and the present combined, they yield

A congruence of energies revealed in the eyes of us all

A view so divine

Reawakening a time when all were one

And in a moment split

Divided, ripped

Torn apart only to be one again, congealed

Connected through the vast field

Akasha awakened and once more laid to rest

Beneath the Earth until the last breath

The last breath to begin the first

The moment of our inevitable rebirth

Pulled from the hearth to open our eyes

To the skies and see what we have forgotten

Intentionally let go to begin the cycle

To start the new flow

A new whole from the parts

Greater than the sum of its pieces

Extending its arm, it reaches

Through experience, it learns and it teaches

It grows and explodes and nobody knows

The bounds it will touch, until one day

One day beyond time itself

When it seems experience stands on the edge of a shelf

The end of the world unfurled and laid before us

Then suddenly

In a rush

A moment so unique it cannot be touched

It begins again

All things

The past and the present combined

All things

Connected by music and rhyme

All things

Individual and original

Yet all things were once and will once be again

Strangers, enemies, neighbors, and friends

Connected by something that ultimately extends

Beyond the conceptions of beginnings and ends
